# Picticular vs Flixd

The clearest difference is update cadence: Picticular at every 4 days against Flixd's every 6 weeks. Picticular also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (115 vs 7). Flixd's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Picticular holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Picticular has 115 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Picticular ships an update every 4 days, Flixd every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
