# OptiFlight vs Ultimate Tic

The clearest difference is ads: OptiFlight at none against Ultimate Tic's shown. OptiFlight also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 14). Ultimate Tic's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OptiFlight sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Ultimate Tic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for OptiFlight against 4.6 for Ultimate Tic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OptiFlight has 1.3K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of OptiFlight's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ultimate Tic's.

OptiFlight ships an update every 6 weeks, Ultimate Tic every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
