# Evolux Gear vs DJI Virtual Flight

The clearest difference is update cadence: Evolux Gear at every 9 days against DJI Virtual Flight's every 2 months. Evolux Gear also leads on iOS requirement (9.1 vs 12.0). DJI Virtual Flight's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Evolux Gear against 3.9 for DJI Virtual Flight. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Evolux Gear ships an update every 9 days, DJI Virtual Flight every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
