# Super VPN vs Electro VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Super VPN at free with in-app purchases against Electro VPN's subscription. Super VPN also leads on ratings volume (19K vs 2.2K) and device support (4 vs 2). Electro VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (84% vs 67%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Electro VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Super VPN against 4.5 for Electro VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Super VPN has 19K ratings behind it against 2.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Super VPN's written reviews are positive against 84% of Electro VPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
