# DupScore vs HymnBook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HymnBook at none against DupScore's 3. HymnBook also leads on update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). DupScore's advantage is ratings volume (38 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.4 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DupScore sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. HymnBook asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DupScore against 5.0 for HymnBook. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DupScore has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DupScore ships an update fortnightly, HymnBook daily. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
