# Sofa Time vs Trunkful

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trunkful at none against Sofa Time's 8. Trunkful also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Sofa Time's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sofa Time sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.29 per month. Trunkful asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trunkful holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sofa Time has 2.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sofa Time ships an update every 5 days, Trunkful fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
