# M vs Romance Novel

The clearest difference is update cadence: Romance Novel at weekly against M's monthly. Romance Novel also leads on review sentiment (16% vs 0%) and ratings volume (2K vs 390). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. M sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Romance Novel sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for M against 4.6 for Romance Novel. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Romance Novel has 2K ratings behind it against 390, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 0% of M's written reviews are positive against 16% of Romance Novel's.

M ships an update monthly, Romance Novel weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
