# M vs PlotFun

The clearest difference is rating: PlotFun at 5.0 against M's 4.6. PlotFun also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). M's advantage is ratings volume (390 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. M sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PlotFun sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlotFun holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: M has 390 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

M ships an update monthly, PlotFun fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
