# QuiltCon vs Hatch Academy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hatch Academy at 50% against QuiltCon's 22%. Hatch Academy also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 10 months). QuiltCon's advantage is ratings volume (118 vs 1) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QuiltCon holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuiltCon has 118 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of QuiltCon's written reviews are positive against 50% of Hatch Academy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuiltCon ships an update every 10 months, Hatch Academy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
