# Search & Find vs Magic Find

The clearest difference is update cadence: Magic Find at fortnightly against Search & Find's every 3 months. Magic Find also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Search & Find sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Magic Find sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Find holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 990 and 458 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Search & Find's written reviews are positive against 50% of Magic Find's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Search & Find ships an update every 3 months, Magic Find fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
