# ECBSE vs A+Papers

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ECBSE at none against A+Papers's 1. ECBSE also leads on iOS requirement (11.2 vs 16.0). A+Papers's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A+Papers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ECBSE asks for nothing beyond the download.

ECBSE ships an update every 4 weeks, A+Papers weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
