# CCNA Practice Test Prep vs CCNA Self

The clearest difference is ads: CCNA Practice Test Prep at none against CCNA Self's shown. CCNA Practice Test Prep also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). CCNA Self's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CCNA Practice Test Prep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CCNA Self sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CCNA Practice Test Prep ships an update every 3 weeks, CCNA Self weekly. Both last shipped on October 4, 2026.
