Ab dem Jahr 2020 ist in NRW für eine ausgewählte Gewässerkulisse, in der Wiederansiedlungen mit der Quappe stattfinden, die Entnahme von Fischen durch Angler zum Verzehr erlaubt. Diese Genehmigung ist verbunden mit einer Verpflichtung, gefangene Quappen und deren Entnahme zu melden. Für eine Entnahme sind folgende Regelungen zu beachten: • Das Mindestmaß beträgt 35 cm. • Pro Angeltag und Angler/in dürfen max. zwei Fische entnommen werden. • Es gilt eine Schonzeit vom 15.12. bis 28.02., in der keine Fische entnommen werden dürfen. Die Quappen-App des LFV Westfalen und Lippe e.V. ist entwickelt worden, um Quappenfänge direkt am Gewässer möglichst einfach und schnell melden zu können. Für die Meldung sind nur wenige Informationen einzutragen. Hierzu gehören die Körperlängenklasse, der Fangort und das Fanggewässer sowie die Angabe, ob der Fisch entnommen oder zurückgesetzt wurde. Der Fangort kann über die eingebundene Kartenfunktion ausgewählt und in die Meldung übernommen werden. Optional kann auch noch ein Foto als Beleg mitgeschickt werden. Die Meldung der Quappenfänge erfolgt direkt an den LFV Westfalen und Lippe e.V., der die Daten sammelt und auswertet.
