# Texter vs Textkiller

The clearest difference is rating: Texter at 4.6 against Textkiller's 4.3. Textkiller's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 21%) and ratings volume (13K vs 1.2K). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Textkiller sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Texter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Textkiller has 13K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Texter's written reviews are positive against 37% of Textkiller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Texter ships an update monthly, Textkiller every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
