# Texter vs BuzzBell

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BuzzBell at 88% against Texter's 21%. BuzzBell also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Texter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and BuzzBell sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Texter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Texter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 166, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Texter's written reviews are positive against 88% of BuzzBell's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Texter ships an update monthly, BuzzBell every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
