# Texter vs BeSwift

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BeSwift at none against Texter's 10. BeSwift also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Texter's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. BeSwift asks for nothing beyond the download.

BeSwift holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Texter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Texter ships an update monthly, BeSwift every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
