# Texter vs 2Phon

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 2Phon at 65% against Texter's 21%. 2Phon also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). Texter's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 249). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and 2Phon sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Texter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.2K and 249 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Texter's written reviews are positive against 65% of 2Phon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Texter ships an update monthly, 2Phon every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
