# Texter vs Consenso

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Consenso at none against Texter's 10. Consenso also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Texter's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 3). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Consenso asks for nothing beyond the download.

Consenso holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Texter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Texter ships an update monthly, Consenso every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
