# Texter vs Pass Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pass Notes at fortnightly against Texter's monthly. Texter's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Pass Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Texter ships an update monthly, Pass Notes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
