# Codebreaker Master vs Wood Screw

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Codebreaker Master at 80% against Wood Screw's 19%. Codebreaker Master also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Wood Screw's advantage is ratings volume (97K vs 6) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wood Screw sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Codebreaker Master asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wood Screw holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wood Screw has 97K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Codebreaker Master's written reviews are positive against 19% of Wood Screw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Codebreaker Master ships an update every 5 days, Wood Screw every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
