# ARRI Camera Companion vs VFXReports

The clearest difference is rating: VFXReports at 5.0 against ARRI Camera Companion's 3.0. VFXReports also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ARRI Camera Companion sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and VFXReports sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VFXReports holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 2 respectively.

ARRI Camera Companion ships an update every 2 weeks, VFXReports every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
