# HEFORA vs ActiveHIP+

The clearest difference is update cadence: ActiveHIP+ at every 2 months against HEFORA's every 5 months. ActiveHIP+ also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HEFORA ships an update every 5 months, ActiveHIP+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
