# Blue Sketch vs SecondFloor

The clearest difference is monetization model: Blue Sketch at free with in-app purchases against SecondFloor's subscription. Blue Sketch also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and review sentiment (77% vs 60%). SecondFloor's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blue Sketch sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and SecondFloor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blue Sketch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blue Sketch has 338 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Blue Sketch's written reviews are positive against 60% of SecondFloor's.

Blue Sketch ships an update monthly, SecondFloor fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
