# CandyDream vs Snip 'N' Split

The clearest difference is rating: CandyDream at 4.7 against Snip 'N' Split's 4.0. CandyDream also leads on ratings volume (689 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Snip 'N' Split's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CandyDream sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Snip 'N' Split asks for nothing beyond the download.

CandyDream holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CandyDream has 689 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of CandyDream's written reviews are positive against 100% of Snip 'N' Split's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
