# Trust VPN vs VPN Ninja

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN Ninja at free with in-app purchases against Trust VPN's subscription. VPN Ninja also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 weeks). Trust VPN's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (233 vs 29). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trust VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and VPN Ninja sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trust VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trust VPN has 233 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Trust VPN's written reviews are positive against 83% of VPN Ninja's.

Trust VPN ships an update every 2 weeks, VPN Ninja every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
