# Trust VPN vs VPN+

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN+ at free with in-app purchases against Trust VPN's subscription. VPN+ also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Trust VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (234 vs 38). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trust VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and VPN+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN+ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trust VPN has 234 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Trust VPN's written reviews are positive against 86% of VPN+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trust VPN ships an update every 2 weeks, VPN+ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
