# WISH vs DR E

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DR E at 100% against WISH's 50%. DR E also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). WISH's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 28) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WISH holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WISH has 11K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of WISH's written reviews are positive against 100% of DR E's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
