# Do It Note vs JournalCircle

The clearest difference is ads: JournalCircle at none against Do It Note's shown. JournalCircle also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Do It Note's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Do It Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and JournalCircle sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JournalCircle holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JournalCircle has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Do It Note's written reviews are positive against 83% of JournalCircle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Do It Note ships an update every 2 months, JournalCircle every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
