# Glidden vs ChinBell

The clearest difference is rating: Glidden at 4.6 against ChinBell's 4.1. Glidden also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). ChinBell's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (80% vs 64%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChinBell sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Glidden asks for nothing beyond the download.

Glidden holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Glidden has 534 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Glidden's written reviews are positive against 80% of ChinBell's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Glidden ships an update every 4 months, ChinBell every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
