# Focusing vs ChickFocus

The clearest difference is update cadence: ChickFocus at every 8 days against Focusing's every 2 months. ChickFocus also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (1K vs 58). Focusing's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focusing sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and ChickFocus sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChickFocus holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChickFocus has 1K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Focusing's written reviews are positive against 89% of ChickFocus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Focusing ships an update every 2 months, ChickFocus every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
