# my vs Focus & Fish

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: my at none against Focus & Fish's 7. my also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (54 vs 10). Focus & Fish's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus & Fish sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. my asks for nothing beyond the download.

Focus & Fish holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: my has 54 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of my's written reviews are positive against 62% of Focus & Fish's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

my ships an update every 2 months, Focus & Fish every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
