# Moxtopper vs FaB Scanner

Moxtopper and FaB Scanner both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Moxtopper's written reviews are positive against 40% of FaB Scanner's. Moxtopper also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 110). FaB Scanner's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moxtopper sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and FaB Scanner sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Moxtopper against 4.7 for FaB Scanner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moxtopper has 1.1K ratings behind it against 110, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Moxtopper's written reviews are positive against 40% of FaB Scanner's.

Moxtopper ships an update every 3 months, FaB Scanner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
