# Moxtopper vs Styx

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Styx at none against Moxtopper's 2. Styx also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Moxtopper's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moxtopper sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Styx asks for nothing beyond the download.

Styx holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moxtopper has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Moxtopper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Styx's.

Moxtopper ships an update every 3 months, Styx monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
