# Moxtopper vs Binder Buddy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Binder Buddy at free against Moxtopper's free with in-app purchases. Binder Buddy also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Moxtopper's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moxtopper sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Binder Buddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Binder Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moxtopper has 1.1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Moxtopper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Binder Buddy's.

Moxtopper ships an update every 3 months, Binder Buddy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
