# Narrative vs Iloomi

The clearest difference is rating: Iloomi at 4.9 against Narrative's 4.4. Iloomi also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Narrative's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (51 vs 7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Narrative sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Iloomi sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Iloomi holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Narrative has 51 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Narrative ships an update every 9 days, Iloomi monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
