# FastGuard Agent vs THERMS

The clearest difference is rating: FastGuard Agent at 5.0 against THERMS's 2.9. FastGuard Agent also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). THERMS's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (38 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FastGuard Agent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: THERMS has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FastGuard Agent ships an update every 6 months, THERMS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
