# bibs vs Ateru

The clearest difference is ads: Ateru at none against bibs's shown. Ateru also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (16.2 vs 18.5). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. bibs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ateru sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

bibs ships an update every 6 months, Ateru every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
