# Stair Calculator vs Craftmetry

The clearest difference is rating: Craftmetry at 5.0 against Stair Calculator's 4.1. Craftmetry also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). Stair Calculator's advantage is ratings volume (738 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stair Calculator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Craftmetry sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Craftmetry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stair Calculator has 738 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Stair Calculator ships an update every 3 months, Craftmetry every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
