# Breakthrough Basketball vs PVR

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Breakthrough Basketball at 100% against PVR's 50%. Breakthrough Basketball also leads on device support (4 vs 2). PVR's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.8). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PVR holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Breakthrough Basketball's written reviews are positive against 50% of PVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Breakthrough Basketball ships an update every 5 weeks, PVR every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
