# EZ vs Tekmetric Mobile

The clearest difference is monetization model: EZ at free against Tekmetric Mobile's subscription. Tekmetric Mobile's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 5). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.8 for EZ against 2.7 for Tekmetric Mobile. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tekmetric Mobile has 60 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of EZ's written reviews are positive against 29% of Tekmetric Mobile's.

EZ ships an update every 4 months, Tekmetric Mobile weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
