# SEPT vs NU

SEPT and NU both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SEPT's written reviews are positive against 50% of NU's. SEPT also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). NU's advantage is ratings volume (67 vs 12). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SEPT against 5.0 for NU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NU has 67 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of SEPT's written reviews are positive against 50% of NU's.

SEPT ships an update every 6 weeks, NU every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
