# Image Converter vs InfoMate

The clearest difference is monetization model: InfoMate at free with in-app purchases against Image Converter's subscription. InfoMate also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Image Converter's advantage is ratings volume (9K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.1 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Image Converter sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and InfoMate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InfoMate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Image Converter has 9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Image Converter ships an update monthly, InfoMate every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
