# Live text vs LED Banner

Live text and LED Banner both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Live text's written reviews are positive against 43% of LED Banner's. Live text also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). LED Banner's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (33 vs 6). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LED Banner sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Live text asks for nothing beyond the download.

Live text holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LED Banner has 33 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Live text's written reviews are positive against 43% of LED Banner's.

Live text ships an update every 16 months, LED Banner weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
