# Primo vs Creatone

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Creatone at 100% against Primo's 50%. Creatone also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Primo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Primo sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Creatone sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Primo ships an update monthly, Creatone fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
