# Pocket Rocket vs Preshow Theater

The clearest difference is rating: Preshow Theater at 5.0 against Pocket Rocket's 4.5. Preshow Theater also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). Pocket Rocket's advantage is ratings volume (521 vs 2) and review sentiment (52% vs 33%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Rocket sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Preshow Theater sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Preshow Theater holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Rocket has 521 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Pocket Rocket's written reviews are positive against 33% of Preshow Theater's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pocket Rocket ships an update every 2 months, Preshow Theater every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
