# Proofreader AI Grammar Checker vs Rapid Word Count

The clearest difference is rating: Proofreader AI Grammar Checker at 4.7 against Rapid Word Count's 3.0. Proofreader AI Grammar Checker also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 2). Rapid Word Count's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and review sentiment (75% vs 65%). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Proofreader AI Grammar Checker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Rapid Word Count asks for nothing beyond the download.

Proofreader AI Grammar Checker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proofreader AI Grammar Checker has 3.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Proofreader AI Grammar Checker's written reviews are positive against 75% of Rapid Word Count's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
