# Octothink vs Remontada

The clearest difference is rating: Remontada at 3.7 against Octothink's 2.3. Remontada also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (24 vs 3). Octothink's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Octothink sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Remontada sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remontada holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remontada has 24 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Octothink ships an update monthly, Remontada every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
