# Ligo vs Lock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lock at daily against Ligo's fortnightly. Lock also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ligo ships an update fortnightly, Lock daily. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
