# HF GPS vs HFun Fly

The clearest difference is rating: HFun Fly at 3.6 against HF GPS's 3.0. HFun Fly also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). HF GPS's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 18%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HFun Fly holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HFun Fly has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of HF GPS's written reviews are positive against 18% of HFun Fly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HF GPS ships an update every 6 months, HFun Fly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
