# Stay Safe VPN vs Topup Flow

Stay Safe VPN and Topup Flow both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Stay Safe VPN's written reviews are positive against 26% of Topup Flow's. Stay Safe VPN also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Topup Flow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 14 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stay Safe VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Topup Flow asks for nothing beyond the download.

Topup Flow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Topup Flow has 7K ratings behind it against 510, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Stay Safe VPN's written reviews are positive against 26% of Topup Flow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stay Safe VPN ships an update every 14 months, Topup Flow fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
